As of July 2020, China accounted for 16% of the global pepper import market share and became the second largest pepper import market in the world after the US (the US accounted for 28% of total global pepper imports).

Vietnam’s pepper output decreases, prices show signs of increasing

In 2020, member units of the Vietnam Pepper Association exported a total of 182,908 tons of black pepper, accounting for 95.30% of the country’s total export volume.
