“Inclusive development” to be more sustainable
In the presentation, the story of Vinamilk baby formula product with the familiar brand Dielac was shared as a typical example for this development journey. Born 34 years ago, Dielac is the first baby milk powder product produced in Vietnam and also the first baby milk powder in Vietnam to be exported, becoming Vinamilk’s main export product to many countries. market in the world.
Nearly 20 years ago, in order to make products suitable for the condition of Vietnamese children, Vinamilk carried out nutritional surveys and clinical studies on a large scale in many localities across the country. Up to now, this product line has always been researched and developed by Vinamilk based on the philosophy of how every child can access the most appropriate nutrition on the journey of development.

In 2013, Vinamilk invested 100 million USD to build a super factory of Vietnam milk powder, with a capacity of 54,000 tons of products/year, creating a breakthrough growth for this product in terms of both quality and quantity. Currently, Vinamilk continues to expand cooperation, invest in factories, factory projects, and farms with an estimated investment capital of up to 600 million USD to be ready for the future.
The dairy industry cannot separate the core value of “product quality”, so Vinamilk has strategically cooperated with the world’s leading nutrition expert groups such as Chr Hansen, DSM, Beneo, AKK… to develop dairy products of international standards. In 2023, all Vinamilk’s baby milk powder products won the “Purity Award” – a rigorous award on purity and food safety standards, screened through more than 400 important criteria.
