According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), citing statistics from the General Department of Customs, in August 2023, Vietnam exported pepper to approximately 20.14 thousand tons, worth 75.34 million USD. , up 32% in volume and 32.4% in value compared to July 2023, up 9.0% in volume and 0.2% in value compared to August 2022.

In August 2023, Vietnam’s average pepper export price reached 3,741 USD/ton, up 0.3% compared to July 2023, but still down 8.1% compared to August 2022. In the first 8 months of 2023, Vietnam’s average pepper export price reached 3,273 USD/ton, down 26.3% compared to the same period in 2022.
