To export to the Russian market, Vietnamese businesses must follow the World Health Organization (OIE) and the Russian Federation's principles of disease safety and adhere to the usual food safety regulations. international and Russian.

In the immediate future, CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company is the first enterprise licensed by Russia to export processed chicken products to this market.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Health, said in the shortest time to complete the procedures for the first batch of chicken to be exported to Russia under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. village.

The officially licensed processed chicken exported to Russia will open up opportunities to access potential markets of countries in the Eurasian Economic Union, including the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

In addition to the Russian market, Vietnamese processed chicken is exported to Japan only. In 2019, the export value of processed chicken will reach over 11 million USD.

MARD expects this year, the value of processed chicken exports will continue to rise. If the Russian market opens up opportunities for other businesses, it is certain that Vietnam's chicken exports will be much larger than today.

Earlier, on March 6, MARD Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong had a meeting with Mr. Viktor Linnik, Chairman of Miratorg Agribusiness Holding, one of the largest suppliers of cattle and poultry meat in the Russian Federation.

Miratorg Group has now been granted a certificate for the supply of poultry and beef to Vietnam and is seeking permission to export pork under the name Bryansk. The leader of Miratorg Group also said that the unit is preparing to export the first batch of pork to Vietnam.
