The accumulated export volume of pepper in the first 9 months of 2020 totaled 220,193 tons of pepper of all kinds, down 13,469 tons, or 5.76% lower than the export volume of the first 9 months of 2019.

At the same time, the value of export turnover in the first 9 months of 2020 totaled 489.46 million USD, down 103.55 million USD, or 17.45% lower than the same period.

Average export price in September 2020 reached 2,504 USD / ton, up 0.16% compared to that of August 2020.

According to IPC statistics, world pepper prices in September 2020 increased steadily in all producing countries. Most notably, Indian specialty black pepper MG1 increased by 3.42%, Vietnamese black pepper grade 550 Gr / l-ASTA increased by 3.32% and grade 500Gr / l-ASTA increased by 3.43%. While Indonesian black pepper ASTA increased only 0.72% due to being in the main harvest this year.
