Hope you are all back to your office after the Vietnam International Pepper Outlook VIPO 2022. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you all at Dak Lak. I am sure you have enjoyed the discussions, networking and the overall ambiance of the conference.
It was a big and challenging step for Vietnam Pepper Association VPA to conduct the VIPO at an international standard and based on the feedback so far, we have been greatly successful. We are very happy that we were successful in creating an international platform to showcase the processing capabilities of Vietnamese processors and also the quality promise of Vietnamese pepper that we are working towards.
Over and above the approx 200 delegates, we had invited 130 farmers for a separate training session on sustainable farming. Through this, the VIPO could effectively drive home the importance of sustainable agriculture to the farming community.
For us too the VIPO was a great eye opener to the potential it holds. We now have a better idea of the various things we can improve for the next VIPO.
I mentioned during my speech that the Vietnamese Govt has approved VPA’s request to increase the scope of VPA to cover other spices as well. This will pack more punch for the next VIPO and make it more productive for you.
We know that there are many areas for improvement and these will be adequately addressed for the next VIPO. We would also like to hear your opinion about the conference and also suggestions for improvement.
