Mr. Dang Phuc Nguyen – General Secretary of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association – said the reason why vegetable exports continuously set new records is thanks to China and many other countries increasing their purchases of Vietnamese goods. Especially when China increasingly creates favorable conditions for Vietnamese agricultural products through signing a series of protocols.
This year, in addition to durian and jackfruit, many Vietnamese vegetables such as sweet potatoes and chili exports to China increased 6-9 times compared to the same period in 2022. Durian, jackfruit, and sweet potatoes were given more area codes. planting helps bustling export activities.
In addition, logistics infrastructure such as roads, warehouses, and delivery yards have been renovated and newly built, helping export activities reduce costs and create more competitive prices compared to competitors. Currently, the prices of sweet potatoes and durian in Vietnam have increased dramatically but are still attractive compared to competitors in Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia.
