According to the Vietnam News Agency reporter in India, at the conference with the participation of more than 100 import-export enterprises and trade associations of the two countries, Ms. Shubhra affirmed that India has emerged as one of the major trading partners. in the world in terms of fruits and agricultural products over the years.
Through research, she realized that India can completely supply Vietnam with many kinds of fruits and agricultural products that Vietnam is importing in the world such as pomegranates, grapes, wheat, cotton, which are products. that India has strengths.
In the opposite direction, she also appreciated the fruits and agricultural products of Vietnam such as dragon fruit, coffee, tall beans, cashew nuts … Vietnam and India are all countries with great potential in the agricultural sector. industry and the two countries have plenty of space to promote stronger and more effective cooperation in this area.
According to Ms. Shubhra, there are currently about 255 investment projects from India in Vietnam. That number speaks to the potential Indian investors see in this Southeast Asian country. Vietnam is striving to become an agricultural processing center by 2030. That goal can help the two countries strengthen stronger and more meaningful cooperation.
Ms. Shubhra emphasized that the two countries have a lot to learn from each other, can support each other, create a two-way trade process that benefits both countries. Ms. Shubhra affirmed that the US and China are currently the two largest trading partners of Vietnam and India also wants to become a leading trade partner of Vietnam.

Also at the seminar, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau introduced some typical Vietnamese agricultural products such as coffee, tea, cocoa, cashew nuts, coconut water …
However, the Ambassador suggested that the Indian side create favorable conditions, remove tax and non-tax barriers, and simplify administrative procedures for the two countries to have more access to each other’s markets. Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau urged India to open the market for a number of Vietnamese fruits such as longan, grapefruit, durian and rambutan.
The Ambassador affirmed that today’s forum is a good opportunity to connect Indian and Vietnamese associations and businesses in the field of fruit and food. Vietnamese exporters can contact Indian businesses directly or through IICCI to approach Indian importers. The Embassy will continue to make the most of resources, promote trade facilitation, and promptly remove difficulties for Vietnamese – Indian businesses.
