On the world market, Cambodia’s banana exports increased sharply due to increased demand from the Chinese market. The country’s banana exports have risen sharply since China announced phytosanitary standards for imported goods. It is forecasted that Cambodia’s banana export volume to the 1.4 billion people market will continue to increase in the near future due to increasing orders from China.

Chile has announced the establishment of phytosanitary import requirements (synonymous with opening the market) for fresh grapefruit from Vietnam.
