Domestic coffee market fluctuated sharply with the world market trend. Compared to September 2019, the price of Robusta coffee in the Central Highlands provinces decreased from VND 1,900 -2,300 / kg to VND 30,800 – 31,300 / kg.

Robusta coffee price (FOB Saigon port) decreased by 104 USD / ton to 1,366 USD / ton.

Coffee exports in October 2019 were estimated at 87 thousand tons, valued at US $ 158 million, bringing the volume of coffee exports in the first 10 months of 2019 estimated at 1.35 million tons and US $ 2.33 billion, down 14, 6% in volume and down 22.3% in value over the same period in 2018.

Germany and the US continue to be the two largest coffee consuming markets of Vietnam in the first 9 months of 2019 with market share of 13.3% and 8.6% respectively.
