Brazil is the second largest pepper producer in the world in 2019, producing 67,000 tons, of which 64,000 tons of black pepper and 3,000 tons of white pepper.

Compared to 2018, Brazil's pepper production in 2019 decreased. The reason is that some of the country's pepper gardens are old, while the new areas planted with white pepper have not been harvested. Indonesia is the world's third largest pepper producer in 2019, with an output of 65,000 tons.

In particular, black pepper production reached 25,000 tons, white pepper reached 40,000 tons. In 2019, Indonesia's pepper production decreased compared to 2018 because many pepper growing gardens in the main growing area did not invest and care when the price dropped.

In addition, India's pepper production also decreased compared to 2018 due to production in many farms in the state of Kerala seriously affected by floods which took place in August 2019. Fungal diseases that damage pepper plants also affect crop yields.

According to Channelnewsasia (CNA), many experts said that coffee farmers are now the most vulnerable group and, finally, the impact of climate change will spread to consumers.

Across Asia, coffee farmers are facing the most severe farming conditions ever. Even so, the worse scenario is about to happen.

In Vietnam, Asia's largest coffee producer, there are fewer and fewer areas suitable for coffee farming, and water shortage will become more common.

In Indonesia, coffee production has declined and quality is expected to go down in the next few years.
