This is the comment of Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Department of Trade Promotion at the online trade conference on trade promotion and cooperation between Vietnam and Germany enterprises held on October 15 and 16, with the participation of more than 30 Vietnamese exporters and many important businesses, distribution chains in Germany.

Sharing the same point of view, Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Germany, said that when working with German enterprises, these enterprises showed special interest in Vietnam.

Enterprises that have done business with Vietnam expressed their wish to continue to expand and promote trade, investment and business cooperation with Vietnam and enterprises that have not done business with Vietnam also expressed their wish to have opportunities. cooperating with Vietnamese enterprises.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu, Vietnamese businesses can see the community of nearly 200,000 Vietnamese in Germany as a channel to connect their products and goods to this potential market.

And Mr. Pham Truong Giang, Vietnam’s Consul General in Frankfurt (Germany), gave some suggestions to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries such as Vietnam and Germany to quickly put into operation. Accordingly, it will gather and provide enterprises of both sides with information and data on the potentials, trade and investment needs of both countries. At the same time, promote building a team to support businesses of both sides to solve problems arising when implementing EVFTA and IPA.

On the other hand, according to Mr. Pham Truong Giang, it is also necessary to build a system of warehouses in Germany to gather Vietnamese goods, as the basis for Vietnamese goods to penetrate the German market and to other European countries.

Mr. Giang said that, in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic causing difficulties for traditional trade promotion activities, the two sides also need to find a reasonable way to have exhibitions to display and introduce goods of enterprises. two countries.

According to experts, the above products of Vietnam are suitable for the high consumption demand of manufacturers and consumers in Germany in particular and the EU in general.
