During the month, rice exported to some markets increased strongly compared to June such as Chile increased 1,456% in volume and 780% in turnover, reaching 727 tons, earning $ 0.3 million; Tanzania increased 1,094% in volume and 913% in turnover, reaching 3,104 tons, worth $ 1.9 million; Mozambique increased 140% in volume and 109% in turnover, reaching 8,995 tons, worth 4.3 million USD …

In the first 7 months, rice exports reached over 4 million tons, earning 1.95 billion USD, average export price reached 487.2 USD / ton. Compared to the same period last year, it increased 0.6% in volume, 13% in turnover and prices.

Rice exports to most markets increased in turnover compared to the first 7 months of 2019. Senegal increased the most with 2,768% in volume and 1,877% in turnover, reaching 41,391 tons, worth 14.7 million USD; to Spain, up 217% in volume and 282% in turnover, reaching 1,176 tons, worth $ 0.7 million; to Indonesia increased by 146% in volume and 211% in turnover, reaching 59,343 tons, equivalent to 33.3 million USD …

However, rice exports to some markets fell sharply such as Brunei, Algeria and Bangladesh decreased from 84% to 94%.

In general, in the first 7 months of the year, the Philippines is the largest rice consumption market in our country with 1.5 million tons, worth more than 688 million USD at the price of 460.3 USD / ton; accounting for 37% of the total rice export volume of the country and 36% of the total turnover; over the same period, it increases 3% in volume, 17% in turnover and 14% in price.

China ranked second with 493,142 tons, equivalent to 293.4 million USD with price 594.9 USD / ton; accounting for 12% of the total volume and 15% of the turnover; over the same period increased 55% of volume, 84% of turnover and 19% of price.
