According to the General Department of Customs, in the first 11 months of 2019, Vietnam's exports reached US $ 241.7 billion, up 7.9% over the same period in 2018; import turnover reached 230.7 billion USD, up 6.6% over the same period.

Up to now, Vietnam has participated in negotiations and signed 16 FTAs, of which 12 have signed and entered into force.

However, the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that import and export activities in 2020 will still face many difficulties and challenges. The Ministry will focus resources, actively deploy solutions to strive to achieve the National Assembly assigned target of export growth of 7-8%.
