For the whole year 2023, the average export price of Vietnam’s coffee to the Netherlands reached 2,736 USD/ton, an increase of 20.3% compared to the average price in 2022.

In 2023, Vietnam will increase exports of all types of coffee to the Netherlands, including: Robusta, Arabica and processed coffee, accounting for 77.42% respectively; 12.9% and 9.68%.

According to data from the European Statistics Agency (Eurostat), in the first 11 months of 2023, the Netherlands imported coffee from non-EU markets reaching 153.73 thousand tons, worth 623.51 million EUR (equivalent to 676,000 tons). 94 million USD), up 47.8% in volume and 25.1% in value over the same period in 2022.

In the first 11 months of 2023, the average import price of Dutch coffee from the non-EU market reached 4,056 EUR/ton, down 15.4% compared to the same period in 2022. In particular, the average import price of coffee of the Netherlands from most foreign sources decreased, except Vietnam.

Foreign coffee supplies to the Netherlands mainly come from Brazil, Vietnam, Honduras, Colombia and Peru.

According to Eurostat, in the first 11 months of 2023, the Netherlands imported coffee from Brazil reaching 54.88 thousand tons, worth 205.76 million EUR (equivalent to 223.4 million USD), an increase of 20.3% in volume and an increase of 4%. .5% in value compared to the same period in 2022.

Brazil’s coffee market share in the Netherlands’ total imports from the non-EU market decreased from 43.8% in 11 months of 2022 to 35.7% in 11 months of 2023.

In the first 11 months of 2023, the Netherlands sharply increased coffee imports from Vietnam, reaching 37.55 thousand tons, worth 93.98 million EUR (equivalent to 102 million USD), an increase of 175.6% in volume and an increase of 182% .9% in value compared to the same period in 2022.

Vietnam’s coffee market share in the Netherlands’ total imports from foreign markets EU increased from 13.1% in 11 months of 2022 to 24.43% in 11 months of 2023. The Netherlands also increased coffee imports from Honduras, up 283.6% in volume and 178.3% in value compared to with the same period in 2022.
