“The market for agricultural products is not stable, leading to low economic efficiency of some products, not commensurate with the level of investment. It is necessary to clarify the difficulties, obstacles and congestion of means of transport in the import and export of agricultural products through the northern border gates in the past time, especially in some border gates with negative phenomena, harassment, causing problems. difficult for businesses”.

In addition, Mr. Thanh also noted that agricultural production continues to face rising input and feed costs. Fishery exploitation faces difficulties due to high gasoline prices, leading to the risk of shortage of supply for processing and export.

Trade promotion and market opening negotiations of the agricultural sector were assessed by the National Assembly Economic Committee as not really meeting the requirements when it had to be done online.

In addition, Mr. Thanh raised a suggestion to supplement reports on the status of fisheries infrastructure development and resources (budget, human resources) to serve the task of combating illegal fishing and efforts to remove the Yellow Card in fishing.

In which, the agriculture, forestry and seafood increased by 2.45% over the same period last year, by 2.35%, 3.86% and 2.54% respectively.

However, agriculture has not focused much on producing high-quality products with strong brands and clear geographical indications. Agriculture still has to import a large number of input materials for production (seeds, fertilizers, animal feed…) leading to difficulties when input prices increase.
