In Hong Thai, there are thousands of shan snow tea trees, some of which are hundreds of years old and lush. Up to now, Na Hang has 2 companies, 1 cooperative, 2 cooperative groups and 14 households investing in tea processing and production.

Na Hang shan tea products have been granted trademarks, stamps of traceability, favored by domestic and foreign markets. As a result, shan tea from wild forest trees has now given people in Hong Thai an average income of VND 28 million / ha / year.

At the top of Kia Tang mountain, there are 41 households, mainly of Mong and Dao ethnic groups. This is the material tea area of ​​Kia Tang Tea Joint Stock Company, through Son Tra Tea Cooperative to buy raw materials.

Currently, the cooperative has a material area with an area of ​​over 30 hectares of Phuc Van Tien and Kim Tuyen tea and 64 hectares of ancient Shan Tuyet tea. Each year, the cooperative buys over 150 tons of fresh bud tea of ​​farmers at the price of 20,000-25,000 VND / kg.

Currently, Kia Tang Tea Joint Stock Company is conducting a survey, measuring and determining land use demands and setting up a project to build tea processing factory expansion in Khuoi Phoi village. This will expand opportunities for people to make a living from specialty shan tea.

Mr. Dang Xuan Chan's family (Dao people), Khau Trang village are assigned to manage more than 5 hectares of shan snow tea.

Chan said that the biggest advantage of these tea forests is that the people have so far grown completely naturally, so the procedures for organic recognition are very convenient. However this is also limited, because people do not know how to cultivate and take care of productivity.

The district extension staff and officials of Kia Tang Tea Joint Stock Company have instructed the techniques to take care of and collect, so the difficulties were gradually removed.

Producing organic tea, Mr. Chan renovated and added organic nutrients to the soil for plants. Now the old tea trees shaggy moldy white, tall trunks and canopy cumbersome young shoots 2, 3 times higher than the previous crop. The average yield is 10 tons / ha / year.

The success in developing specialty tea trees has helped the people of Hong Thai commune to raise their incomes. In 2019, Hong Thai commune has reached the new rural destination, with an average income of VND 36 million / person / year, of which the efficiency of specialty shan tea also plays an important role.

Mr. Tran Hai Tuyen, Director of Tuyen Quang Plantation and Plant Protection Department, said that in 2019, the province successfully built two organic agricultural models.
