Specifically, Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai, Chairman of Vietnam Coffee – Cocoa Association (Vicofa), said that in February 2025, Vietnam exported 193,031 tons of coffee, earning more than 1.08 billion USD. This is also the first time Vietnam’s coffee export has reached more than 1 billion USD in just 1 month. This result is due to the highest increase in export production from the beginning of the harvest (from October 20024 to the present), with ranging from 50,000 – 155,000 tons/month. In addition, the price of exported coffee is also very high, when the average price is 5,596 USD/ton (including processed coffee).
Thus, in the first 2 months of 2025, Vietnam exported a total of 343,331 tons of coffee, with a turnover of more than 1.87 billion USD. In particular, the amount of coffee for export is 315,615 tons, with a turnover of more than 1.65 billion USD. Although coffee export volume decreased by 14.8% compared to the same period in 2024, the value of turnover increased by 50%.
Germany, Italy and Japan are still the three largest consumer markets of Vietnamese coffee, accounting for 16.6%, 9.4% and 8.2% respectively. Compared to the same period in 2024, the export value in January 2025 to Germany increased by 53%, Italy increased by 5.6%and Japan increased by 10.4%. This shows the stable attraction of Vietnamese coffee in traditional markets.

According to Vicofa, Coffee prices will remain high in 2025. Because one of the reasons for the price of coffee is due to the weakest dollar, to the lowest level since February. Moreover, the power to buy strongly from financial investors on the trading floor contributes to pushing the price up.
Besides, according to a recent survey of Reuters, if the momentum increases, the price of Robusta coffee can reach 5,500 USD/ton, while Arabica is capable of exceeding 400 cents/pound.
According to Reuters, Brazil (the country with the largest coffee production in the world) is having to go through one of the harshest droughts in history. This seriously affects coffee production, and the output decreases, causing the amount of coffee reserves in this country to be almost gone.
In 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment aimed at Vietnam’s total coffee production reached 1.98 million tons, increasing slightly compared to 2024.
The US Department of Agriculture also made predictions of Vietnam’s coffee exports increased by 1.8 million bags, up to 24.4 million bags thanks to improved supply. According to experts, in the context of markets in the world, the price of criticism has increased, maintaining the output has been opened up many opportunities for Vietnam’s coffee industry.
If the price is maintained at a high level and good output, many businesses believe that Vietnam’s coffee exports in 2025 can reach 6.2 – 6.5 billion USD and even more. Earlier, in 2024, coffee exports brought back to our country 5.48 billion USD.
