The price of pepper today 7/2/2025 in the domestic market increased sharply in key localities, trading from 150,500 – 153,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, today’s pepper price in Gia Lai is 151,000 VND/kg.
Today’s pepper prices in Dong Nai provinces (VND 150,500/kg); Dak Lak (153,000 VND/kg); Dak Nong (153,000 VND/kg); Ba Ria – Vung Tau (152,000 VND/kg) and Binh Phuoc (152,000 VND/kg).
Thus, the price of pepper today increased sharply in local growing areas, an increase of 1,000 – 2,000 VND/kg. The highest pepper price is 153,000 VND/kg.
Due to the Lunar New Year holiday, pepper import and export activities have decreased in January 2025.
Preliminary statistics of the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in January 2025 Vietnam exported 13,085 tons of pepper, black pepper reached 10,502 tons, white pepper reached 2,583 tons. The total export turnover reached 87.7 million USD, compared to December 2024, exported by 14.3% and compared to the same period in 2024 exports decreased by 26.4%.
The average export price of black pepper in the month reached US $ 6,626/ton, white pepper reached 8,467 USD/ton, up 2.3% for black pepper and 3.3% for white pepper compared to the previous month.
The leading exporters in January include: Olam Vietnam: 1,428 tons, Nedspice Vietnam: 1,281 tons, Simexco Dak Lak: 883 tons, Phuc Sinh: 844 tons and DK Commodity: 670 tons.
Meanwhile, the US is still the largest pepper export market in Vietnam reached 2,884 tons, down 36.0% compared to the previous month. Notably exported to the German market, the largest economy in Europe, up 122.0% to 910 tons.
At the end of the last session, the international pepper community (IPC) listed the price of black pepper Lampung (Indonesia) to close at 7,283 USD/ton; Brazilian black pepper price ASTA 570 at 6,400 USD/ton, up 100 USD/ton (1.56%); The price of black pepper Kuching (Malaysia) ASTA is 9,000 USD/ton.
White pepper price muntok 9,780 USD/ton; The price of white pepper Malaysia Asta is 11.600 USD/ton.
Vietnam black pepper price trades at 6,500 USD/ton with 500 g/l; type 550 g/l level 6,650 USD/ton; White pepper price is 9,550 USD/ton. IPC increases Brazilian pepper price.
