Information from Toan Phat Irradiation Plant (Toan Phat Irradiation) shows that the process is carried out, inspected and evaluated by quarantine officers of the Plant Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. experts in the field of irradiation of this unit.

With the successful research and implementation as mentioned above, Toan Phat Irradiation is aiming to become a fresh passion fruit irradiation facility in Vietnam approved by the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF). Pioneered in providing irradiation treatment services for fresh passion fruit when Australia officially opened the market.

At the same time, it is also guaranteed that fresh passion fruit after being irradiated will not be contaminated with pests according to Australian regulations, product quality and other requirements meet DAFF standards. go out.

At the same time, it helps promote Vietnam’s agricultural export activities. At the same time, it brings higher quality value and economic efficiency to Vietnamese fresh passion fruit when coming to the Australian market in particular and the world in general.

It is known that in July 2023, the Plant Protection Department received a notice from DAFF about the draft “import requirements report for Vietnamese fresh passion fruit exported to Australia”.

Accordingly, DAFF said, fresh passion fruit harvested from growing areas in Vietnam can be imported into the Australian market, but must comply with biosecurity requirements.

Specifically, the report identified 11 pest species that pose a biosecurity risk, including fruit flies, aphids, spiders, thrips…

To minimize pests, the draft report proposed a number of risk management measures, including establishing pest-free planting/production areas; Pest-free production facilities. At the same time, DAFF believes that the application of irradiation treatment is considered effective in pest control.

Therefore, Toan Phat Irradiation has successfully researched and implemented dose mapping on fresh passion fruit exported to Australia as stated above.
