On October 7, the Vietnamese Embassy in India in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Indian Importers (IICCI) organized an online trade conference “Fruits and Food: Trade Opportunities new for Vietnam and India ”.
The conference attracted the participation of more than 100 import-export enterprises and industry associations, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the two countries.

Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau urged India to open the market for a number of Vietnamese fruits such as longan, grapefruit, durian and rambutan.

In the opposite direction, she also highly appreciated the fruits and agricultural products of Vietnam such as dragon fruit, coffee, cocoa, cashew nuts … Vietnam and India are all countries with great potential in the agricultural sector. industry and the two countries have plenty of space to promote stronger and more effective cooperation in this area.
According to Ms. Shubhra, there are currently about 255 investment projects from India in Vietnam, including many investment projects in factories to process food and agricultural products such as tea, coffee, rice oil, processing … That speaks volumes about the potential Indian investors see in this Southeast Asian country. Vietnam is striving to become an agricultural processing center by 2030. That goal can help the two countries strengthen stronger and more meaningful cooperation.
In addition, Mr. Atul Kumar Saxena, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Indian Importers with more than 30 years of doing business with Vietnam market, has shared many useful experiences.
