The lake continues to run dry
On February 8, Mr. Dang Kim Cuong, deputy director in charge of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Thuan province, said the total capacity of 21 reservoirs in the province so far accounts for only 33.8%. There are 8 lakes running out of water sources including Song Bieu, Tan Giang, Phuoc Trung, Phuoc Nhon, Thanh Son, Suoi Lon, Ta Ranh and Ong Kinh. Ninh Thuan province has instructed to stop producing more than 100ha of rice and vegetables in Song Bieu lake areas.
It is forecast that in the coming months, some reservoirs in the province will continue to run out of water, which will further affect negatively on crop production, husbandry and drinking water for cattle. The provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to reduce the area under rice cultivation and convert crop production to save water, prevent people from lacking domestic water, and cattle lacking drinking water.
In Binh Dinh, Mr. Dao Van Hung, deputy director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that for the summer-autumn crop, there will be about 2,000 hectares of rice shortage in the districts of Vinh Thanh, Van Canh, Phu My, Hoai Nhon … If it is not raining there will be an additional 2,000 hectares of crops in Phu My and Phu Cat districts.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, directed the functional branch to take advantage of favorable weather, speed up the progress of upgrading, expanding the piped system of concentrated water supply works, to provide for People, especially in areas where water is scarce, have to mobilize police forces to transport water for people like the previous year.
Set up many field pumping stations
Recently, a delegation of Dak Nong province led by Mr. Truong Thanh Tung – vice chairman of the provincial People's Committee – checked a number of localities and noted that many reservoirs were exhausted. Pumping stations along the Krong No River (belonging to the Serepok river system) in Quang Phu and Nam N'Dir communes (Krong No district) cannot work due to the low water level of the river, extended straws and many pumping stations are set up. field fight. Meanwhile, in Cu Jut district, many dams are also at the water level of death at the beginning of the dry season such as Dak D'rong lake, Ea Diêr lake, causing the locality to encourage people to switch to other crops. drought tolerance.
According to the Dak Nong Center for Meteorology and Hydrology, the most depleted periods in the dry months in rivers and streams are likely to occur from March to April 2020, with the flow volume being lower than the average for many years in the same period of 20-40%. Particularly for rivers of Krong No, Ea Krong … the flow is lower and fluctuated according to the regulation of hydroelectric reservoirs.
In Dak Lak, Mr. Mai Trong Dung – Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development – said this year will be a difficult year for the local agriculture sector because the rainy season is expected to be late, while many dams do not have enough water to enter. at the end of the rainy season 2019. “It is worrying that the coffee irrigation season in late February and March 2020 will lack water for irrigation, affecting crop yields. We are building a specific response solution for each region in the province, ”Mr. Dung said.

The temperature falls below 10oC, the humidity reaches about 80% at night until the morning, while daytime the humidity is only about 20%. The People's Committee of Lac Duong district said that with the current weather, salt fog will appear even more widely.
