The average export price of pepper in September reached US $ 6,860 / ton, up 9.69% compared to the average export price last month.
Export price of pepper in the world has shown signs of slowing down because it is in a very high price area so buyers are somewhat limited.
An exporter in Ho Chi Minh City also said that, these days, no new contracts have been signed.
However, Indian black pepper prices were still offered with special grade MG1 for European market of 8,100 USD / ton and US market 8,400 USD / ton (C&F), very competitive price.
While Vietnamese black pepper of all kinds was offered at USD 50-100 lower than last week.
It is expected that importers will return to the market to prepare for stockpiling, serving the winter season as well as the wedding and Christmas season at the end of the year.
Due to heavy rain, disease phenomenon, especially fast death and slow death on pepper plants, is severely raging in some key pepper growing areas of our country.
