Spot pepper prices also decreased by Rs 1,016, accounting for 3.23%, to Rs 31,413 per quintal, or $5,982 per ton, the lowest decline. Spot pepper prices remained at a higher level than forward pepper prices, showing that real demand is still very strong.
Vietnam’s export black pepper is offered at 500 Gr/l-FAQ at $5,850/ton and 550 Gr/l-FAQ at $6,200/ton, (FOB). While MG1 Indian black pepper is exported to the EU at $6,500/ton and to the US at $6,800/ton, (C&F), still maintaining a competitive price.
In the past 30 days, the price of black pepper in exporting countries decreased by an average of 800 USD/ton for all kinds.
