Pepper prices continue to anchor at high levels in the last days of 2024

On the morning of December 30, domestic pepper prices continued to be stable and anchored at a high level; Compared to the previous trading session, ranging from 146,500-147,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the average price of pepper purchased in localities is 146,800 VND/kg.

Pepper price in Gia Lai is purchased at 146,500 VND/kg; Similarly, pepper price in Binh Phuoc province was also purchased at 146,500 VND/kg; Pepper prices in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dak Nong, and Dak Lak localities were purchased at a higher price of 147,000 VND/kg.

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association, in November, Vietnam exported 15,948 tons of pepper of all kinds, with a total turnover of 106.5 million USD.

Cumulatively in November 2024, Vietnam exported 235,335 tons of pepper of all kinds, of which black pepper reached 207,498 tons, white pepper reached 27,837 tons. Total export turnover reached 1.22 billion USD. Compared to the same period in 2023, export volume decreased by 3.5%, however export turnover increased by 46.9%.

The United States is the largest export market of Vietnamese pepper reaching 67,802 tons, an increase of 41.1% and accounting for 28.8% of the total export volume of Vietnamese pepper. Next are the markets: UAE increased by 42.7%, accounting for 6.6%; Germany increased by 67.7%, accounting for 6.0%./.
