Pepper prices today (August 15) ranged from 76,000 to 79,500 VND/kg. In the past 6 days, the pepper market in general tended to go up, provinces and cities recorded an increase from 1,000 VND/kg to 3,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, the two provinces of Gia Lai and Dong Nai are currently trading at 76,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg and 3,000 VND/kg respectively compared to the beginning of the week.

After being adjusted to increase by 2,000 VND/kg, the purchasing price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is currently at the same level of 78,000 VND/kg.

Similarly, the two provinces of Binh Phuoc and Ba Ria – Vung Tau respectively recorded 78,500 VND/kg and 79,500 VND/kg, together increasing by 2,000 VND/kg in the past week.

In Brazil, on August 9, 2021, the export price of black pepper was stable at $3,950/ton compared to July 30, 2021, according to a report from Import and Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade).

At the Lampung ASTA port of Indonesia, the export price of black pepper increased by 0.6% compared to July 30, 2021, to $3,858/ton. At the port of Muntok, the export price of white pepper increased by 2.3% compared to July 30, 2021, to USD 7,292/ton.

At the port of Kuching in Malaysia, on August 9, 2021, the export price of black pepper and white pepper increased by 1.7% and 1.3% respectively compared to July 30, 2021, to $5,688/ton and 7,419 USD/ton.

At the port of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, on August 9, 2021, the export price of black pepper 500g/l and 550g/l both increased sharply by 250 USD/ton (up 6.6%) compared to the same period. on July 30, 2021, to USD 4,050/ton and USD 4,150/ton.

Similarly, the export price of Vietnam’s white pepper also increased by 250 USD/ton (up 6.6%) compared to July 30, 2021, to 6,050 USD/ton.

In India, the market was quite quiet, causing pepper prices to fall. On August 9, 2021, pepper price at Kochi Exchange was at 4,1378 rupees/ton ($5,573/ton), down 0.4% compared to July 30, 2021.
