Similarly, pepper prices in Binh Phuoc and Ba Ria – Vung Tau reached VND 70,500/kg and VND 71,000/kg, respectively.

In general, the export volume of pepper increased sharply in the first quarter of this year, mainly because China increased purchases to make up for the shortage after three years of closure due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
In addition, data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA) showed that pepper exports to China in March 2023 reached a record of 15,710 tons, up 85.2% compared to February. 2023 and is the highest export volume to this market so far in a month.
