Today 11/11, the price of black pepper at Ba Ria-Vung Tau 135,000 VND / kg, in the Central Highlands lower than 5,000-8,000 VND / kg.

Customs statistics show that Vietnam's pepper export in the first half of October has tended to decrease sharply because of nearly depleted goods. Mainly, semi-processed primary products of type 500 Gr / l and 550 Gr / l are cheap while standard types of ASTA have not been offered, export is very limited.

Since the second half of October, world pepper prices have plummeted due to the lack of transaction in Kochi-India market. Partly because India has many festivals during the season, partly because the market is under pressure of Europe's public debt crisis and declining, global economic inflation is widespread, so many investors withdraw capital from the commodity market. chemicals, especially agricultural products.

However, the world is short of pepper and the demand for food is undeniable, so the decline is only temporary.

In the recent pepper trading session, the expression of declining prices tended to stop. Demand for pepper for winter and wedding season, the upcoming Tet holiday will surely make the pepper market active again. In addition to forecasts about crop failures due to epidemics and natural disasters in major producing countries, the market will heat up quickly.

The Vietnamese market also recorded a recent decline that made many speculators and pepper growers worried, so a certain amount of goods was released. Most still expect the prices in the last months of the year will rise again, but this is not easy either.

Currently, Vietnamese pepper prices offered at grade 500 Gr / l-FAQ 6,700-6,800 USD / ton and 550 Gr / l-FAQ grade 7,000-7,100 USD / ton, while MG1 Indian special pepper price 7,100- 7,200 USD / ton for the EU market and higher than 300 USD / ton for the US market, up slightly from 50-100 USD / ton.
