The number of households with financial ability is sold in moderation according to the requirements of reproduction and family activities. The average selling price from the beginning of the harvest so far is quite stable at 120,000 VND / kg of black pepper (density 500 g / liter, moisture 15, impurity 1%).
According to VPA, the progress of harvesting, consumption and domestic trading price from the beginning of the season so far is equivalent to the same period in 2013 and the price is tending to increase.
However, through surveys in the provinces of Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong, Dak Lak and Gia Lai, Dong Nai and Ba Ria – Vung Tau, most pepper gardens have been exploited for 7 – 10 years, up to now, aging and functional. The interest rate is expected to decline sharply next year.
Particularly in Gia Lai province, there appears a large area of rapidly dying, slow-dying pepper, infected with undeveloped nematodes including newly planted pepper and it is predicted that in the next 2-3 years there may be a risk of hundreds of hectares of pepper being erased. book.
Meanwhile, in areas with favorable natural conditions, experienced pepper growers have the potential to invest in those areas where new planted areas have increased and pepper trees are quite good, such as Dak Lak and Dak Nong.
In order to implement safe production and consumption of pepper in a sustainable manner, pepper farmers and local authorities in some places have cooperated with local exporters to buy pepper directly from farmers. , such as Nedspeci associated with Loc Ninh – Binh Phuoc, Unispice linked with Xuan Loc – Dong Nai.
