Pepper prices today (November 15) in the domestic market increased simultaneously by 500 VND/kg, with the highest level being 70,000 VND/kg in Ba Ria – Vung Tau.

According to the survey, pepper price is in the range of 66,500 – 70,000 VND/kg in the domestic market after being adjusted to increase simultaneously by 500 VND/kg.

After the fluctuations, Gia Lai and Dong Nai are recording prices of 66,500 VND/kg and 67,000 VND/kg, respectively.

In Dak Lak and Dak Nong, pepper is being purchased at the same price of 67,500 VND/kg.

Similar, Pepper price today in Binh Phuoc and Ba Ria – Vung Tau increased to 69,000 VND/kg and 70,000 VND/kg, respectively.

According to an update from the International Pepper Association (IPC) on November 14 (local time), the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) increased by 0.10% compared to November 13.

At the same time, the price of Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 and Kuching (Malaysia) ASTA black pepper remained stable.

Recorded from the latest report of Department of Import and Export (Ministry of Industry and Trade)in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the second quarter of 2023, Vietnam’s pepper exports to all regions decreased.

The lowest decrease was 9.5% in Europe; The highest decrease of 38.3% was in Oceania. Compared to the third quarter of 2022, Vietnam’s pepper exports to most regions decreased, except for Asia, which increased by 24.4%.

Also during this period, Vietnam’s pepper exports to many markets decreased compared to the second quarter of 2023, but to markets of India, Korea, Russia… increased.

Compared to the third quarter of 2022, pepper exports to the US, Netherlands, and United Arab Emirates markets decreased; On the contrary, exports to China, India, Germany, South Korea, and Russia increased sharply.

In addition, exports of most pepper varieties decreased, except for ground white pepper, which increased by 11.1%. Compared to the third quarter of 2022, exports of most pepper types decreased, except for white pepper, which increased by 9.5%.
