On average in 2023, export pepper prices will reach 3,424 USD/ton, down 19.3% compared to 2022.
In 2023, exports of most types of pepper will decrease compared to 2022, except for whole black pepper, which reached 205,452 tons, an increase of 23.2%. Specifically, whole black pepper accounts for 77.8% of Vietnam’s total pepper export volume in 2023 in volume.
Next was ground black pepper reaching 29,023 tons, down 13.1% and accounting for 11% of the proportion; Whole white pepper reached 20,225 tons, down 1.4% and accounting for 7.7%; Ground white pepper also decreased by 18.5 and accounted for 2.9%; The remaining pepper pickled in vinegar, wood, pinhead, green, pink,… decreased by 7.5%.
