Recorded from the latest report of Department of Import and Export (Ministry of Industry and Trade)in October 2023, Vietnam’s pepper exports to many markets increased by 2 to 3 digits compared to the same period last year, including: India, Germany, the Netherlands, Korea, and the UK.

For the US market, pepper exports to this market increased by 20% in volume, but still decreased by 4.6% in value. In the first 10 months of 2023, pepper exports to most major markets decreased sharply compared to the same period last year, except the Philippines.

In 2023, because the average export price of pepper is lower than in 2022, it will affect the export value of the product.

In the first 10 months of 2023, Vietnam exports black pepper, ground black pepper, white pepper, ground white pepper, and the turnover all decreased compared to the same period in 2022.

The export proportion of ground black pepper, white pepper, and ground white pepper decreased. In contrast, the export proportion of ground black pepper increases from 31.09% in the first 10 months of 2022 to 65.21% in the first 10 months of 2023.
