On April 9, 2024, the price of black pepper in the domestic market fluctuated inconsistently compared to the end of March 2024, but the downward trend was the main trend.

Specifically, the price of black pepper in Binh Phuoc and Dak Lak provinces decreased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to March 30, 2024, to 93,000 VND/kg; In Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Dak Nong provinces, the price also decreased by 1,500 VND/kg, down to 93,000 – 93,500 VND/kg. In contrast, the price of black pepper in Dong Nai province increased by 500 VND/kg, to 92,500 VND/kg; In Gia Lai province, the price increased by 1,000 VND/kg, to 93,000 VND/kg.

According to data from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s pepper exports in March 2024 reached approximately 25.92 thousand tons, worth 111.58 million USD, an increase of 92.7% in volume and an increase of 104.8% % in value compared to February 2024, compared to March 2023, down 27.5% in volume, but up 4.8% in value.
