Pepper in the highland area was traded at Rs 535 / kg, while pepper in the other regions was at Rs 520 / kg and higher.

Indian specialty pepper on the world market increased to USD 9,000 / ton (c & f) for Europe and USD 9,250 / ton (c & f) for the US. Indian pepper is still completely higher than other origins.

Spot prices jumped to Rs 500 a quintal yesterday to close at Rs 52,200 a quintal (US $ 8,341 per tonne) for pint and 54,200 Rs / quintal (US $ 8,661 / ton) for the selected grade. thanks to strong demand amid tight supply. (1 USD = Rs 62,5825)
