Kochi pepper futures market in the session on Wednesday prices remained stable, the closing level of over 2 months decreased with very few transactions. Spot market still thinks about Onam. Domestic demand is still flooding the market but most people still do not mind because it is still in the holiday season. In parallel, the European and US markets are still very high.

Indian pepper is currently offering $ 3,200 / tonne (c & f), which is quite competitive. September NCDEX contracts fell by Rs57, to close at Rs14,792 a quintal. October decreased by Rs23, while November increased by Rs24 / quintal, closing at Rs15,079 / quintal and Rs15,322.

Total turnover was 459 tonnes, closing at 6,199 tonnes. The unfulfilled contract dropped another 186 tons to 10,446 tons. September contract dropped by 341 tons, but increased by 157 tons in October and 3 tons in November. Brazilian Asta pepper is being offered at $ 2,875 / tonne (f.o.b.) Belem; B1 is $ 2,800 and B2 is $ 2,675 / ton, all are f.o.b. Belem.
