In the recent report, the Import and Export Department said that according to statistics from the Russian Customs Agency, the country’s pepper imports in the first 10 months of 2020 reached 8.14 thousand tons, worth $ 19.66 million. , down 1.0% in volume and 5.1% in value over the same period in 2019.

Average import price of Russian pepper in the first 10 months of 2020 reached 2,415 USD / ton, down 4.1% over the same period in 2019.

In particular, the average import price of Russian pepper decreased from many main supply markets, but increased from Vietnam, Brazil, Poland and Germany.

Import of Russian pepper from the Indian market in the first 10 months of 2020 reached 991 tons, worth $ 1.12 million, up 48.6% in volume and 32.2% in value over the same period in 2019. .

India’s share of pepper in total Russian imports accounted for 12.17% in the first 10 months of 2020, up from 8.1% in the first 10 months of 2019.
