According to the preliminary data report of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, pepper exports in March 2022 reached 23,727 tons of pepper of all kinds, an increase of 9,220 tons, ie an increase of 63.56% compared to the previous month but decreased by 7,686 tons. , ie down 24.47% over the same period last year.

The export turnover in the month reached 111.68 million USD, up 45.71 million USD, ie 69.29% higher than the previous month and 18.98 million USD, up 23.48% over the same period last year. last year.

The cumulative export volume of pepper in the first 3 months of 2022 reached a total of 53,778 tons of pepper of all kinds, down 7,843 tons, or 12.73% lower than the export volume of the first 3 months of 2021.

In terms of export turnover in the first 3 months of 2022, totaling 250.79 million USD, an increase of 70.78 million USD, or 39.32 % increase over the same period.

The average export price of pepper in March 2022 reached $4,707/ton, up 3.52% compared to the average export price of February 2022.

The 2022 pepper harvest in key production areas in the Central Highlands is entering the final stage, which is expected to end at the end of April, about half a month earlier than the previous year’s crop. This contributed to the fact that this year’s pepper production decreased by more than 10% compared to last year’s crop.
