The preliminary data report of the General Department of Vietnam Customs shows that pepper exports in January 2020 reached 14,676 tons, down 1,927 tons, or 11.61% compared to the previous month and down 4,601 tons, or 23. ,87% over the same period last year.

Export turnover in the month reached 35.85 million USD, down 4.25 million USD, or 10.61 % lower than the previous month and 20.85 million USD, down 36.78% over the same period. last year.

The average export price of pepper in the period reached 2,443 USD/ton, up 1.12% compared to the average export price of December 2019.

According to a report by Vietnam Customs, the US market imported 2,809 tons of pepper of all kinds, with a turnover of 8.28 million USD, continuing to be the leading import market of Vietnam’s pepper. Followed by India imported 1,187 tons, with a turnover of 2.64 million USD and Pakistan imported 1,256 tons, with a turnover of 2.62 million USD.
