According to the preliminary report of Vietnam Customs, pepper export in April 2019 reached 37,305 tons of pepper of all kinds, an increase of 2,036 tons, an increase of 5.77% compared to the previous month and an increase of 10,472 tons, ie increased 39.03% over the same period last year. The value of export turnover in the period reached 94.14 million USD, an increase of 8.96 million USD, an increase of 10.49% compared to the same period last year.
Accumulated exports of pepper in the first 4 months of 2019 totaled 108,195 tons, an increase of 21,485 tons, an increase of 24.78% compared to the first 4 months of 2018. However, the value of export turnover in the first 4 months of 2019 reached total of 283.59 million USD, decreasing by 23.02 million USD, decreasing by 7.51% over the same period.
The average export price of pepper in the month reached US $ 2,523 / ton, down 0.51% compared to the average export price of March 2019.
