In markets, due to the continuous decrease in pepper export prices, the value of pepper exports to most markets in the first 10 months of 2018 decreased compared to the same period in 2017. In 2019, the International Pepper Association (IPC) forecasts: Total world pepper production is estimated at 4.9 million tons, down from more than 5.2 million tons in 2018. At the same time, according to IPC , worldwide pepper demand is about 300,000 tons / year.
