In the face of the severe devastation caused by storm No. 3, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee has called on businesses to support the people of the northern provinces affected by storm Yagi. Olam Vietnam Co., Ltd. has donated VND500 million to the Relief Committee under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, which was received by Mr. Pham Minh Tuan – Vice Chairman.
At the donation ceremony, ofi Vietnam representative, Ms. Mai Tran, Financial Controller of Olam Vietnam, expressed sympathy for the suffering of the northern localities in this difficult time. This donation was immediately transferred to the local authorities to support and help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters earlier this month. In addition, Olam’s Yen Bai branch also donated VND50 million for relief activities in Yen Bai province.
The prompt and active support shows that Olam Vietnam has demonstrated its social responsibility in accompanying and supporting the Vietnamese community to strongly recover together after the disaster.
