According to market sources for Business Line It is known that industry and local traders are buying pepper from the High Mountains at Rs 710 / kg, while dealers in Wayanad district have delivered pepper from Erode at Rs 725 / kg.
Local prices in Karnataka also increased to Rs 695 a kg.

Spot prices increased by Rs 500 to Rs 67,800 a quintal (US $ 11,013 per tonne) for shovels and at Rs 70,800 a quintal (US $ 11,501) per option.
