IDH Netherlands Income Improvement Summit

On June 14, 2022, at the invitation of IDH, Ms. Hoang Thi Lien – President of the Vietnam Pepper Association participated in a discussion session to share the roles of actors in the value chain to help for farmers to increase their income and improve their lives in a stable and sustainable way.

At the conference, she introduced about Vietnam’s pepper industry, its potential, benefits as well as difficulties that Vietnam’s pepper industry is currently facing. In addition, she also cited some farming models and experiences of increasing income combined with intercropping pepper with other economically valuable crops of Vietnamese farmers to illustrate the implementation of the target. to increase stable income for pepper growers in Vietnam. Accordingly, she called on related parties, organizations and multinational enterprises to strengthen support and expand outreach activities to farmers in supplying countries to help farmers change their thinking. awareness and awareness on the way to sustainable development, ensuring stability and increasing income for farmers. Her comments were highly appreciated at the conference with more than 200 participants.

The Summit with the theme “Sufficient Living Income” hosted by the Netherlands Sustainable Initiatives (IDH) will take place on June 14, 2022 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
