I still remember the days with people and local officials smiling when agricultural products were priced, when the first exports reached the world.
I still remember the concerned eyes of cultivation and animal husbandry officers when drought, saline intrusion threatening the field, when epidemics on crops and animals broke out, when witnessing people had to pour the batches of fish, when the silver shrimp ponds because of the disease.
I still remember the long nights of not sleeping in the middle of the Covid-19 epidemic, when the agricultural containers were congested at the border gate, when the export market suddenly froze, when the farmer was at risk of losing crops.
I still remember the days with my brothers with storm Yagi, when the gardens were knocked down, when the ships returned to empty hands, when each line of news about the loss from all over the world made us unable to take a nap.
I still remember the forest rangers who forgot to sleep, rushed into the fierce flame to protect the green of the country. And there were people who fell down, so that the forests were forever green.
But I also remember a lot of fun days – when people overcome saline drought, when the model of cultivation and breeding ecological breeding, when the farmer first understood that agriculture is not just for just for just for agriculture not only for “making products ”but to “What to doAh Treatment ”.
We have moved together from agricultural production to agricultural economic thinking, from unit -value growth to multi -value growth. The seemingly strange models have now become a sustainable development model. Rice – rice, rice – shrimp, rice – fish, rice – duck, models are both environmentally friendly and raising income. Thuan Thien agriculture, ecological agriculture, circulating agriculture, organic agriculture, tourism agriculture, smart agriculture – the terms that have been strangers before – now deeply ingrained in the thinking of Vietnamese farmers.
And above all, we have placed the foundation for a humane agriculture, where farmers not only mastered the land, but also owned their lives.
Over the past four years, we have sown each seed together. There are seeds that have germinated green, there are young buds rising strongly, but many seeds are still lying still under the soil layer, waiting for the day to bloom, flowering. But I believe that if we continue to take care of it, then the tree will be big, the flowers will bloom, the fruit will be sweet. Because, as our fathers once said: “Only the landlords, but the land never helps people ”. And above all, we all live every day, with the best possible, with all the enthusiasm, responsibility and love for the country’s agriculture.
Today, when I left the position of Minister, I did not see this as a farewell, but a meeting again – in the fields, the gardens, where the fishing vessels still reached out day and night.
Thank you to the durable farmers with me. Thank you to colleagues, companions who do not mind the difficult time.
Someone once said: “Want to go fast, haHe went alone. Want to go away, haY Đi tickleeach other ”. And I believe, we went together a very long journey. But the road ahead is still long, and I will always accompany and follow the steps of Vietnam’s agriculture and environment.
