According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in September 2021, the export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products is estimated at nearly 3.5 billion USD, down 7.6% compared to September 2020 but up 4.8% compared to August 2021. In the first nine months, the export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products was estimated at 35.5 billion USD, up 17.7% over the same period last year.

In 9 months, many products and groups of products with increased export value include: Coffee, rubber, vegetables and fruits, pepper, cashew nut, cassava and cassava products, livestock products, pangasius , shrimp; wood products, etc. In which, rubber, cashew nut, cassava and cassava products increased in both volume and export value. Specifically, rubber increased by 17.1% in volume and 52.7% in value, cashew nuts increased by 16.6% in volume and 14.8% in value, etc.

Particularly, although the export volume of pepper decreased (reaching 213 thousand tons, down 3.3%) but thanks to the increase in average price, the export value still increased (reached 7100 million USD, up 51.9%); or coffee volume decreased by 4.2% but export value still increased by 4.4%.

Regarding export markets, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the export value of Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the first nine months of 2021 to markets in Asia (accounting for 42.2% of the market). share), America (30.7%), Europe (11.3%), Africa (1.9%), Oceania (1.5%). The largest export market is the United States, with an export value of over 10.2 billion USD; ranked second is the Chinese market, with an export value of nearly 6.8 billion USD; ranked third is the Japanese market, reaching over 2.4 billion USD; Korea ranked fourth with an export value of about 1.6 billion USD.
