Explaining the reason why durian export turnover increased sharply, Businesses report first of all improved product quality, competitive prices and short shipping times to China. In addition, Thailand’s durian output decreased by 18% (impacted by the El Niño phenomenon and prolonged heat wave), causing importers from China and other countries to switch to supplies from Vietnam.
