Since the beginning of the year, the price of pepper is usually at 135,000 – 140,000 VND / kg and now increases to over 150,000 kg. My family also stores more than 5 quintals and sold at a high price, so I am happy. ”
And Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet in Dak Sin commune (Dak R’lap) was also happy: “My family now has more than 1 ha of pepper, annually about 3 tons of pepper are collected. As a farmer, besides looking for a season, farmers also want to get a price, so they are very happy because the price of pepper is increasing. From the beginning of November until now, the buying agents for pepper have increased from 27,000 to 32,000 VND / kg compared to August and currently at 150,000 VND / kg. From the fact that pepper production is bringing high profits, my family will continue to invest more capital and effort to care for the better development of pepper gardens ”.
For many households, although in the house there is no more pepper to sell, but before the information of price increases, it is also very happy that in the garden, pepper has also begun to harvest and promise a harvest.
According to some agricultural purchasing agents in the province, the majority of dried pepper is sold by farmers in August and September at a price of about 130,000 to 135,000 VND / kg to serve the spending needs. daily and reinvest production for the next crop.
However, at present, the number of pepper stored by farmers is quite large, there are families when the price of 150,000 VND was still sold to tons of pepper at the time. Most farmers who sell pepper at this time expect prices to rise and often belong to families with stable and better-off economic conditions.
Facing the situation that the price of pepper in the market continuously increases, from the beginning of November until now, people have come to many dealers to sell pepper. It is worth mentioning that because farmers focus on good preservation, the quality of pepper is still very secure and easy to buy.
In addition to the price, pepper growers also focus on selecting varieties with high yield and quality so economic efficiency increases. The price of pepper is stable so many families pay more attention to invest and take care of pepper plants.
Experts also said that the reason for the stable price of pepper from the beginning of the year and now increasing is due to the strong increase in consumption demand in the market, many importing countries of Vietnam.
