According to Dak Lak Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the province currently has 11,435 hectares of fruit trees of all kinds, an increase of nearly 16% over the same period last year. In particular, the area of durian is 2,880 hectares (an increase of 270 hectares compared to 2016); avocado 2,414 hectares (up 442 hectares); oranges, tangerines and citrus fruits 1,137 ha (an increase of 463 ha); bananas 1,369 ha (an increase of 98 ha); longan, rambutan, rambutan 811 ha (up 53 ha) … Most of the increase is due to farmers intercropping in coffee gardens or converting from old coffee, rubber to fruit trees …
