With a passion for learning and learning, has drawn a lot of experience from the family’s pepper garden, friend Nguyen Minh Vinh from Cam My, Dong Nai would like to share with the giatieu.com community about cotton making techniques for you. pepper in order to hope that people everywhere will have a lot of bumper pepper crops.

One of the very difficult techniques of pepper farming that cannot be mistaken is the cotton technique. Surely pepper growers know that, in addition to pest and disease management, the phenomenon of crop failure, year-on-year failure, also makes many people cry and laugh. Farmers are often subjective, at the mercy of heaven.
In seminars on pepper or promoting plant protection products, most of them talk about pest control, rarely hear about cotton making techniques. Part of it is that people hide their profession and do not want to show it, and the part is that they do not dare to share. It is very true in this case to say please hold grudges. It only takes one glass to go a thousand miles. Saying is making cotton but must combine many factors. From pest management, water retention, fertilization, care, etc. The ultimate goal of the above is high, stable and sustainable yield. In which cotton making technique is the key.
Let pepper every year has a good season. You need to learn a little bit about plant physiology. Once you have grasped the growth stages of plants and the soil and climate of your area, it will be easier to take care of pepper. This requires a certain amount of experience and knowledge. Including factors such as climate, weather, soil quality, rain, sunshine, etc. Our grandparents in the past knew to rely on the factors of “time and terrain” to fight, but today we also use the elements. That factor is economic.
I will introduce my home’s cotton making process for your reference. The main difficulty is to make pepper plants flower in a concentrated manner, with stable high yield.
Let the tree pepper for high yield and stable plant requirements pepper must be healthy and not sick. Limit pepper by proper nutrition throughout the year. If the plant is healthy, it will give a stable high yield.
The pepper plant has an interesting feature that each eye of its hand can give flowers if we know how to wake it up. Eyes in hand pepper always contains 1 germ. It is like a sleeping princess in the forest waiting for the prince to wake up. The proper differentiation of flower sprouts will always give high yields. It is not too difficult to do that.
1. Things to do when braking
After the harvest People should wash plants with fungicides or copper-based drugs to kill pathogens, kill harmful fungi on leaves such as anthracnose lichen, and let old leaves fall off.
Clean the shoots, cut off the eel pepper and the hands that are close to the ground.
Gather the old leaves and diseased leaves and burn them.
The purpose of the above actions is to prevent disease and create conditions for pepper flower bud differentiation.
But the core of flower sprout differentiation is water retention. According to the research of scientists, when plants meet drought conditions within 15 days, Absisic Acid increases, Cytokinin Acid and Giberilic Acid decrease, which is a good condition to stimulate the differentiation of flower buds to develop and form flowers. . Change the vegetative growth process to the vegetative process (flowering and fruiting). During this time we stop watering. But the process of watering requires a longer time, because surely the moisture in the soil is still there when we take care of and water the plants to prevent depression when harvesting, the plants are still not dry enough to differentiate flower sprouts. I usually freeze the water for 30 to 45 days depending on whether the fig is consumed or not. When switching from growth to vegetative, plants must be figs to give high yields. If pepper If the plant cannot differentiate flower sprouts, the transformation will not be successful, the plant may produce flowers twice. As the situation this year many people are experiencing, the tree only leaves and leaves is understandable. Then it will produce a second wave of flowers sporadically, which is very annoying.
So, after harvesting, you need to divide into 3 types of pepper: pepper, normal pepper without loss and decline.
For pepper decline, usually early ripening varieties such as India, people just need to water until the time of fertilizer application, then at the same time as the pepper has stopped water, the plants will bloom. No need to worry. When the plant declines, Absisic Acid is already present in the plant and the plant is always ready to produce flowers. But if we don’t balance the fertilizer, next year the tree will lose the crop. Because plants have to focus on the process of creating nutrients.
For pepper We must pay attention from the time of harvest. Especially watering when harvesting to prevent plant failure requires a certain experience. It is necessary to know how to distinguish pepper plants or little figs to adjust the amount of water to water the plants appropriately during the harvesting process. With pepper Sung and pepper Normally, 30-45 days of water retention is a very important requirement. In spite of pepper very good, figs, but if the water does not slow down to facilitate the differentiation of flower buds, the plant will have very few flowers.
The burning of old leaves and diseased leaves also contributes significantly to creating conditions for the differentiation of flower sprouts. The amount of ash that we burn back to the soil is Potassium to help plants grow stronger, increase their resistance to increasingly adverse environmental conditions.
After stopping the water, it should be watered again like rain 2 times a week for the plants to recover. Not only watering in the root, but also watering outside the canopy, because the roots of pepper feed far away. Spray foliar fertilizer to stimulate flowering and young leaves to concentrate first and then fertilize. This helps the tree to recover its health after a while when we squeeze the tree. If fertilizing at the first watering time, the plant cannot absorb it, it may even damage the roots and waste fertilizer. Foliar fertilizers make it easier for plants to absorb. In industry, it is called working productivity, and in agriculture, it is called nutrient absorption efficiency of plants. Our relatives rarely pay attention to this issue.
The big problem in the process of differentiation of flower sprouts that people often encounter is early rain. As the result of the No. 1 storm this year, you already know. Braking becomes very difficult in such conditions, perhaps even impossible. But we can still overcome it by spraying chemical fertilizers, or can be replaced with copper-based drugs, at this time the leaves will fall about 15-30 %. After about 1-2 weeks, we spray again with foliar fertilizer to stimulate flowering and young leaves to concentrate as if it had stopped water. And perform the next step as if the flower sprouts have been differentiated. Please note that it should only be applied to pepper because this effect is quite strong. This approach can give pepper cotton as desired. But anyway, the weather also has a significant effect on cotton production. If we know how to fix the weather, it won’t be a big deal. We should see the weather forecast so that we can also calculate the proper flowering.
The differentiation of flower sprouts is just a small start to the long journey in flower making techniques pepper.
