Causes of frozen container goods congestion at the northern border gates; In particular, Quang Ninh province is because the Chinese side has strengthened the management of the border gate at the end of the year in many areas, both in the prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic for people on entry and in the control of goods imported into China. capacity at the gate is thin.

According to the head of the Management Board of Mong Cai International Border Gate, as of December 13, Mong Cai International Border Gate still has more than 800 containers of frozen seafood products, about 300 containers of Vietnamese exported fruits and 200 containers. Thai fruit products temporarily imported for re-export.

To support businesses, the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board has mobilized import and export companies to send goods to warehouses to reduce parking fees at the border gate. Simultaneously, it mobilizes warehouse service enterprises to reduce storage prices for frozen products, reducing the price by 25-40% compared to before.

According to Mr. Luong Quang So, if in the past, the price of storage for each refrigerated container was from 40,000-50,000 VND/container/day, now the city is lobbying warehouse service businesses to reduce the price to 30,000 VND/container/day.

In addition, the Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board also arranges for businesses to clear goods on the basis of ensuring fairness, publicity, transparency and democracy.

Currently, on average, Mong Cai International Border Gate can export about 50 containers of fruit and about 20-30 containers of aquatic products every day.

Particularly for dry goods such as: iron starch, cashew nuts, tea…, fresh seafood and frozen seafood, the Chinese side facilitates customs clearance very quickly, without congestion.
